Biography
Prior to joining The Sotos Law Firm, Joe was a Chief Assistant Corporation Counsel for the trial division at the City of Chicago. At the City of Chicago, Joe represented law enforcement and other municipal employees in all aspects of civil rights and tort litigation. Joe became special Litigation Counsel representing the City and law enforcement in wrongful death, reversed conviction and other complex, high-exposure civil rights and tort litigation in federal court and worked in that capacity for four years before returning to his position as a Chief in the Federal Civil Rights Litigation Division. Joe has tried several civil rights cases against law enforcement to verdict over the course of his career.
