Katherine Linehan

Biography

Katherine obtained her J.D. from The John Marshall Law School (n/k/a University of Illinois Chicago John Marshall Law School) in 2005. While in law school, Katherine clerked for the Honorable Judge Darrah of the Northern District Court of Illinois and the United States Attorney’s Office. She was also a staff member of the Review of Intellectual Property Law.

Katherine started her law practice as an Assistant State’s Attorney in criminal appeals. While there, she successfully briefed and argued People v. Whitfield, No. 102985, before the Illinois Supreme Court. She also prosecuted domestic violence cases. For the last 13 years, Katherine has handled insurance defense litigation for bodily injury matters. Katherine has considerable trial experience, having tried over 27 jury trials (and dozens of bench trials) to verdict.
