Biography
Jeff began his legal career at Kirkland & Ellis in Chicago, where he spent five years as an associate working on a wide variety of commercial and constitutional litigation, including several trials. After leaving K&E to start, grow and sell a successful entrepreneurial business, Jeff returned to law practice where he worked at the City of Chicago Law Department for ten years. For seven years he was the Chief Assistant responsible for managing all aspects of the City’s representation in litigation alleging misconduct by the Chicago Police Department. Beginning in 2008, he was of-counsel for James G. Sotos & Associates and in January 2012 was made a partner in the firm. Jeff has engaged in all aspects of complex, high-profile and high-exposure civil rights litigation, including extensive discovery and motion practice, trials and appeals, as well as risk management analysis and counseling for clients.
