Sara graduated cum laude from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois in 2016. While there, she was named Best Brief and Best Oralist in the Fred F. Herzog Moot Court Competition and attained membership on The John Marshall Law Review and the Wagner Labor Law National Moot Court Competition team. Her experience includes two judicial externships with the Honorable Sharon Johnson Coleman of the Northern District of Illinois and the Honorable Daniel J. Pierce of the Illinois Appellate Court, as well as internships with the United States Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois, the City of Chicago Department of Law Division, and the Lake County State's Attorney's Office. After graduation Sara worked as a volunteer attorney assisting prose petitioners with their federal court settlement conferences. She also brings a wealth of experience from a previous career in media relations where she acted as a media spokesperson to both domestic and international media for multiple corporations. Sara is a 1993 graduate of the University of Toledo in Toledo, Ohio where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
