SARA J. SCHROEDER

Sara specializes in complex civil litigation matters, including the defense of government entities, municipalities, public officials and police officers at both the state and federal level. She has been instrumental in the facilitation of many complex settlements, obtaining client-favorable dismissals and summary judgments and by successfully participating in oral arguments before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.

Sara graduated cum laude from The UIC John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois where she was awarded Best Brief and Best Oralist in the Fred F. Herzog Moot Court Competition and was a member on The John Marshall Law Review and the Wagner Labor Law National Moot Court Competition team. Sara was also a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Sharon Johnson Coleman of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and to the Honorable Daniel J. Pierce of the Illinois Appellate Court, First District. Prior to law school Sara worked as a media spokesperson for Fortune 500 corporations, private start-up companies and non-profit organizations.

She is admitted to practice in Illinois, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois and the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Sara grew up in Toledo, Ohio, and received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toledo.
