Lisa received her undergraduate degree from Loyola University of Chicago and her law degree from DePaul University. After law school, Lisa joined a small firm in Chicago practicing insurance defense and commercial litigation. In 2004 Lisa joined the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office where her practice focused on representing various county officials and employees in labor and employment related matters in a wide variety of forums as well as providing advice and counsel to elected officials in the Shakman v. Cook County, et al. federal lawsuit which prohibits the basing of any aspect of governmental employment on political factors. In 2012 Lisa joined Cook County’s Department of Human Resources as Deputy Bureau Chief where she acted a s a primary legal advisor and lead contract negotiator for all aspects of labor and employment matters relation to a diverse work force. She returned to the Cook County  State’s Attorney’s Office in 2014 as the Supervisor of the Complex Litigation Bureau, defending Assistant State’s Attorney and county officials in complex civil rights and reversed conviction cases in federal court as well as continuing her representation of county officials in the Shakman v. Cook County, et al. litigation.
